Compound notes
Bronchogen is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Leu, AEDL) from the short-peptide bioregulator series developed at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. It was identified by UHPLC-MS within a bronchial polypeptide preparation and is now produced synthetically. It has the molecular formula C18H30N4O9 and a molecular weight of approximately 446.46 g/mol. Its sequence is Ala-Glu-Asp-Leu (AEDL). In the published literature AEDL is reported to alter expression of differentiation markers in cultured aging bronchial epithelial cells and to bind DNA and histone proteins in vitro. Supplied as a white to off-white lyophilized powder, stored refrigerated at 2-8 C. This product is strictly for research purposes only.
